Meet our team
Born in Temecula, California, Dalton Yu moved to Potomac, Maryland at an early age. He always loved to use the computer in his free time, whether it was writing code, testing software applications, or browsing the Internet. He received his B.A. in computer programming and computer science from the University of Chicago and got a Phd from MIT in software analysis. Upon graduating, he went on to be a technician for many companies, managing online databases of The Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe, National Geographic, Discover, and Sports Illustrated. After over 30 years of nonstop traveling, Yu decided to go back to his hometown to work as webmaster for Ryan Derenberger’s Period 8 Election of 2017-18 media website. His experience working for newspaper companies serves him well for the task ahead.
Born in Orlando, Florida but raised in Bethesda, Maryland, Charles Zhao received his B.A. in political science and journalism as well as his M.A. in journalism from Columbia University. During his years in college and graduate school, Charles interned for the New York Times and upon graduating from Columbia University, became an investigative reporter for CNN. After six years of working at CNN, Charles went to become an analyst and reporter for The Boston Globe where he covered parts of the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections. He has written two New York Times bestselling books: New Emergence, which details about the 2008 presidential election, and Election Troubles: How the 2000 Presidential Election Shook America.
Emily got her start in journalism and in the writing world by publishing a world famous young adult novel, New York Times Bestseller, Hidden by the time she graduated High School. From there she graduated at the top of her class from Northwestern University in 2004 with a masters in English and Journalism. Emily spent two years following her college career traveling to countries in Africa with Save The Children helping kids receive and maintain a healthy lifestyle, the opportunity to learn, and protection from harm. Emily was brought on to New York Times becoming a full time writer, specializing in social justice and education related news. In 2008, she became the pollster for the New York Times to try and gage a new perspective on the journalistic world during the 2008 Election. Finally in 2010, Emily began working for Owl News where she is the head pollster and webmaster specifically covering the 2012 and currently the 2016 elections. Emily is now living in Bethesda, Maryland with her husband and three children and working on her new novel about the intricacies of the journalistic world.

Abe Kheirbek, chief editor and anchor for the Owl News Multimedia Company, is a Washington DC born columnist and editor. Growing up in the DC Public School System, Kheirbek received his alma mater from the Columbia University, going on to obtain a bachelor’s in journalism from Northwestern University. Despite a heavy emphasis on math and science in his household, Kheirbek grew up with an unyielding love for politics; the son of two Syrian immigrants, Kheirbek discusses in his autobiography the inspiration he derived from his grandfather, a lawyer and politician in Damascus, Syria. It was this passion for politics that propelled Kheirbek into working on the politics section of the Washington Post, covering three sequential elections as a columnist. After his tenure at the Washington Post, Kheirbek stood as a policy advisor to the Obama administration in Middle Eastern affairs. Kheirbek now runs the journalist staff at Owl News.
Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to immigrant parents from Ecuador and South Korea, from an early age Marco Saenz had his eyes set on journalism. Marco Saenz traced his roots back to mother’s homeland and earned his masters in journalism from Yonsei National University. He has since reported on global crises and politics for the past 10 years. He spent time freelancing until he settled down in Owl News where he has made it his mission to expose the corrupt politicians of his time. He has one published book: the New York Times bestseller, “The Truth Behind the Candidates”, in which he reveals the truth behind past candidates for president. In the current presidential election, no stone will remain unturned as Marco Saenz searches for the truth in a land of lies.
Dr. Charlotte Sienkiewicz is liberal Pundit whose expertise lies in the physical sciences. As an undergrad Dr. Sienkiewicz received her bachelor's degree from Oberlin College where she majored in Chemistry and Women’s Studies. After receiving her PhD in Chemistry from MIT, Dr. Sienkiewicz completed a postdoc at the Sulk Institute where she was the recipient of six national science foundation grants. Dr. Sienkiewicz felt a higher calling to share her knowledge with a broader, non academic audience, so as a professor at Washington University, she completed her masters in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Sienkiewicz is a frequent contributor to MSNBC, CNN, The New York Times, National Public Radio, and the News Hour. She has a nationally syndicated column in the Wall Street Journal. She currently lives in New York City with her wife and adopted foster kids.
Landon Warner is a gossip journalist from Raleigh, North Carolina. He graduated summa cum laude from the Department of Communications studies at Vanderbilt University. He was even the commencement speaker at his own graduation. In his now famous speech, Warner stated he wanted to become one of the world’s most renowned reporters. His dreams came to fruition when he landed his position at Owl News. He is only 23 years old.

Mira is a well-renowned author, journalist, psychologist, and photographer. She graduated from University of San Diego with a masters degree in journalism and a PhD in clinical psychology. Since her years at UCSD, she has spent her time traveling all over the world, interviewing all kinds of people and writing under the biggest names in literature known to man. She has also worked with famous thinkers and philosophers, studying how the mind works and how people are influenced. She studied in India for 3 years, and wrote for national newspapers whilst in New Delhi. Returning to the states, she decided to uncover the truth in this election by being a part of Owl News.
