Endorsement: Katherine Sylvester

After assessing all the candidates’ actions and platforms over the past several weeks, Owl News 8 would like to announce that it will proudly endorse Senator Katherine Sylvester. The Senator from Florida has displayed remarkable skills throughout the election thus far, both through her political knowledge as well as her communication skills. As seen also from the three polls for the election, Sylvester is one of the frontrunners in terms of electoral votes. In the second week of the campaign, Sylvester was the leading candidate with 34% of the vote; Owl News projects that Sylvester, through her innovative policies and charismatic rhetoric, will maintain this lead.

The appeal of Sylvester to voters was only a small factor in determining Owl News 8’s support for her. Judging from her platform, Owl News 8 feels that Sylvester has the key to helping America’s economy prosper: restraining both state and federal government power, properly protecting the environment, and improving the education system. Compared to other candidates, Sylvester has given much more evidence for why her platform will work best for the nation, describing specific policy that will be used to cut bureaucratic red tape. It is also evident that Sylvester has policies that will be able to be executed within a four year term.

Sylvester has presented herself as the most civil candidate throughout the entire election. On her Twitter page, here tweets are solely objective: none are negative towards any candidate or person thereof, keeping her reputation clean, and proving to the country that she will keep America as her top priority instead of spending her time on trivial Twitter arguments. This is in contrast with other candidates who have consistently ridiculed other campaigns based on minor spelling errors or other superficial mistakes. This polite conduct warrants well for the ideal image of a president, and is also an essential trait to form an apt diplomat who is able to sustain a respectable image for the United States.

While the new scandal on Sylvester, “Ravioli Ravioli Give Me the Forumuoli,” is certainly shocking, it is perhaps the least concerning of all the scandals. Among other candidates, such as Herscowitz, who has committed illegal actions with the Mafia; Khan, who secretly wants to become a tyrant and dictator; Gersch and Wenick, who seemingly lack common knowledge, as one thinks the Earth is flat and calls the moon a “Chinese hoax,” while the other doesn’t believe in dinosaurs; and Chaudhri, who promotes illegal activities by supporting an inappropriate song to eventually replace the Star Spangled Banner, Sylvester’s obsession with Spongebob Squarepants, and belief that the Krabby Patty recipe among other things from the show, is merely a quirk when compared to the astronomical allegations against other candidates. Sylvester’s phone call with her endorser John McCain, while not the most appropriate, was not completely atrocious; Sylvester and McCain are longtime colleagues from the Senate, thus their discord permits an acceptable level of informality.

Sylvester’s donors also indicate high approval from the Republican Party towards her campaign, with politicians John Kasich, Nikki Haley, and John McCain. This demonstrates that Sylvester is also a very favorable candidate to the Republican Party; with this support, we believe that Sylvester will be able to pass legislation easily when she is in office given that her party holds the majority in both houses. Being endorsed by the US Chamber of Commerce is excellent for her and her campaign as it displays the strength and acceptance of her economic and tax reform platform.

Owl News 8 believes that Senator Sylvester is the best choice of the six candidates; our multimedia organization feels that their endorsement of Sylvester will boost her appeal to voters across the nation and hopefully get her into the White House.

2018 will finally be the year that this nation gets some change. Change for the better. Change for the government, change for Democracy, change for businesses, and, most importantly, change for the people.
