Herscowitz Campaign Secures a New Endorsement

Marc Korman, Maryland State Delegate and Democrat from Maryland’s 16th District, has recently officially endorsed Eva Herscowitz, Democratic front runner of the Derenberger 2017-2018 AP Lang presidential election.

Now endorsed by four teachers, six interest groups, and the past winner of the 2017 AP Lang election and the first female president elect, Kyra Du, Herscowitz’s ability to secure Korman’s endorcement could be crucial in maintaining the ten projected electoral votes that she won from Maryland in a recent state poll.

Korman ran his 2014 campaign for the Delegate of Maryland's 16th District focusing mainly on “sustainable economic prosperity.” Korman, a product of Montgomery County Public Schools, stresses the need to “fight for the funding and support our schools' need to meet new challenges. The school system is growing by over 2,000 students a year and our local schools are overcrowded. In the BCC, Whitman, and Walter Johnson Clusters, a majority of schools are over capacity.” This endorsement could bolster the legitimacy of the Hercowitz campaign’s education platform, proving it’s local applicability.

In an email to the Herscowitz campaign, Korman highlighted his particular appreciation for Herscowitz’s “plans to provide state grants for early education funding,” in addition to highlighting that as a state legislator, Korman knows “that is the type of partner we need in the White House.”
